The IC-SAT100 provides a true Land Mobile Radio (LMR) experience with a durable IP67-rated housing, a large front-facing speaker for loud audio, a top-mounted power/volume knob, a talkgroup selector for “no-look” operation, and a field-replaceable antenna. Icom offers a wide portfolio of Land Mobile Radio accessories to enhance the radio’s communication capabilities and meet customer requirements.

The IC-SAT100 operates exclusively on Iridium Push-To-Talk and is compatible with the full portfolio of Iridium and Iridium Connected® PTT products for truly global and easy-to-use push-to-talk capabilities. Icom also offers the VE-PG4, an RoIP router designed to interconnect and manage latency between other radio technologies within a unified communication system.

  The Iridium Push-to-Talk (PTT), the new Iridium 9575 PTT, combines voice communication and positioning services with sub-two-second latency and push-to-talk capability, all in a portable handheld device. Netted Iridium allows multiple users to share a common voice or data broadcast connection for all users in a network or share their connection for push-to-talk voice applications.
  The new IRIDIUM 9575 PTT provides transmission and reception for voice and data. The rugged Netted Iridium terminal contains a built-in GPS device that allows it to send location information automatically or at the touch of a button. Icom’s IC-SAT100M is a PTT satellite radio designed for fixed mount operations. Unlike handheld satellite radios, users with the IC-SAT100M do not need to stay outside for a clear view of the sky for a stable communication connection. This global satellite mobile radio’s design easily provides coverage from vehicle to in-building use. The IC-SAT100M is backed by the Iridium satellite network, covering the earth including both poles for a true wide area global communication solution.

Details
The Icom IC-SAT100M is a dedicated satellite push-to-talk (PTT) radio designed to be used from a vehicle, indoors, or even from the basement. It is the only PTT radio offering real-time communications at the push of a button — anywhere on the planet.

• Mobile Use: Attach the antenna to your vehicle’s room to connect. The supplied antenna can also be stored inside the vehicle to avoid clearance issues. Add optional AH-40 antenna, to mount on top of the car.

• In-Building Use a Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch as the power supply for the main unit and antenna. ALAN cable maximum length of 100m or 328 ft can provide a longer, cost-efficient in-building solution. 

• PTT Group Communications Truly global group communications, with access to configure up to 15 talk groups through Iridium PTT Command Center.

• Interoperable with Conventional Radios With a VE-PG4 RoIP gateway, the IC-SAT100M can interconnect with an IP phone, WLAN, LTE, and other communication systems.

• Seamless Interaction with IC-SAT100 The speaker mic uses a similar display and button layout as the handheld IC-SAT100. Switch between both units with ease.

• Other Features Voice recording function, short data messaging, built-in Bluetooth^®, integrated GPS receiver shows received signal position.
